Cinque Terra day two

We started the day with a train ride to Riomaggiore.

We explored the town

The coastal walk from Riomaggiore to Manarola is closed so we took the train to Manarola.

From the town you take a small bus up to the top of the hill.

The hillsides are amazingly terraced with vineyards, olives, fruit trees and vegetable beds.

You could either continue the trek across the top or take the train to Corniglia.

In Corniglia you take a bus from the station up to the village.

The views are, of course, spectacular and the lane ways steep and narrow.

I think dinner tonight will be pizza, beer and wine on the sea front.

It appears I was right.
