Day two, Pisa and Florence

Our first stop for the day was Pisa and we had to have the classic photo.

I hadn't realised that there are two other buildings there with the leaning tower. One is the Basillica and the other is the baptistery.

From there it was onto Florence and a visit to see David.

The outside of the Duoma was amazing. A beautiful mix of white, red and pink marble.

We found a great eating place at the local market and had a delicious lunch.

After lunch we saw inside the Duoma. The paintings inside the dome were breath taking.

We then went to the Basillica of Santa Croce 

All sorts of famous people are buried in there including Machievelli, Dante , Galileo and Michelangelo 

We headed across the river for dinner before walking up to the Piazzia Michelangelo to watch the sun set over Florence
