We had a good flight into Rome from Dubai. Emirates sure have nice meals and a great entertainment selection.
From there we walked up the Via del Corso
They sure make things big in Rome.
The fountain had a wire fence around so you couldn't get close, but one enterprising soul moved one if the barriers, helped himself to as many coins on the ground as he could and then got out again!
We also visited the Piazza Navona and the Area Sacra with the temple ruins about 1800 years old.
We took the tram ( trolley ) from our hotel and walked down to the Piazza del Popolo.
We took a lunch break of pizza ( prosciutto e funghi ) and due cappuccino per favore ( delicious) before heading to the Trevi fountain and the Spanish steps
We would have liked to see inside the Pantheon but the crowds there we very thick
We caught a bus back to our hotel, and despite not knowing where to get off we arrived back safely.
We have a welcome dinner to start the tour tonight, and look forward to Robyn flying in to join us this evening.
